The Deadicciton centre was founded in 1992 and has capacity for 30 patients. The aim of the institution is to cure alcoholism and prevent relapse. This is achieved through a 31 days treatment, if the patient relapses the IRCA offers another programme for 15 or 21 days.
After the admission procedure a medical check up is done, followed by the body detoxication, which takes around 1 week. Daily educational classes on topics like awareness, relapse prevention, stress and insomnia management, physical impacts caused by alcohol abuse and family involvement are offered.
Furthermore there are Alcohol Anonymous (AA) meetings, group therapy, individual and family counselling, as well as recreational activities and daily yoga classes. Once a month the Deadicction centre organizes a get together program with the patient families and ex patients. This takes place every last Saturday of the month.
Moreover the staff organizes awareness programs in educational institutions and the neighbourhood.
