About Us
The Prajna Counselling Centre is a registered non-profit, secular service organization for social and educational development. Our organization was established in the year 1987, based in Mangalore, in the south-Indian state of Karnataka. It is registered under the Public Charitable Trust Act.
The centre managed and headed by a group of professionally trained and experienced women, felt the need for a service-oriented agency to empower marginalized communities and provide individual and qualitative help for exploited women and children.

4 April 2023: Karnataka Balvikas Academy Award
Prajna Counselling Centre bagged The Karnataka Balvikas Academy Award 2020- 2021 for the excellent service rendered in the field of rehabilitation of children. The Award was presented to Prof. Hilda Rayappan, Founder President & Director of Prajna at a function organized by Karnataka Balvikas Academy at Dharwad recently.

Prajna Counselling Centre was awarded with ‘Best Camp Organizer – 2022’ for its outstanding work in the field of rural Health. KMC Hospital also felicitated all the camp organizers and those who had done the highest registrations of Manipal Arogya Card on the occasion.
